Dr. Michael Nobel is a
Venture Director with California Technology
Ventures, LLC (CTV) and brings a wealth
experience, contacts, and resources to
the team. Dr. Nobel will play a key role
in sourcing and evaluating life science
deals, as well as advising and assisting
portfolio companies.
Dr. Nobel has both scientific and commercial experience internationally. He participated in the introduction of magnetic resonance imaging at Fonar Corporation in 1980 and continues to participate in that field since. He has since been the CEO of a group of companies that perform diagnostic imaging services. In addition he is on the board of twelve international companies in diagnostics, treatment, investments, and information systems in the medical field. Some of these companies include Biosystems Design Corp. (Salt Lake City, Utah), World Medical Center Holding SA (Geneva, Switzerland), Oncotech Corp. (Tustin, California), Transformation Enzymes (Houston, Texas), WorldSpace Corp. (Washington, D.C.), Velocity Services Inc. (Los Angeles, California), and Fronter A/S (Oslo, Norway).
Dr. Nobel also participates in many socially conscious and humanitarian projects internationally. He is the board chairman of the Non-Violence Project Foundation, a worldwide nonprofit organization focused on changing children's attitudes and behavior regarding gratuitous violence. He is also chairman of ANPPW, an American foundation collaborating with the United Nations, Unesco and Unicef. ANPPW members consist of Nobel Peace Prize Laureates. In addition he is chairman and board member of several other non-for-profit organizations in the field of youth education and development as well as head of the Nobel Family in his role as chairman of the board of the family society.
Dr. Nobel received his PhD in psychopedagogy at the University of Lausanne and his Master of Business Administration at Harvard University. He earned his A.A. degree at Beskows School and a masters degree at the Graduate Institute of Communications, both in Stockholm.
